Senior Cloud & Systems Engineer

About the Role

Clicktek Consulting Inc. is hiring a Principal Systems Engineer to own and evolve the hybrid infrastructure of a high-availability, global e-commerce client. This role balances deep technical execution with architectural design across AWS, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and modern automation pipelines.

You’ll be empowered to assess infrastructure risks, define the roadmap, and implement changes—across cloud, on-prem, and endpoint ecosystems—with minimal supervision.

• Architect and deploy systems across AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC), Windows Server, and VMware environments
• Lead cloud security and automation: implement IAM, KMS, CIS benchmarks, and multi-region backup strategies
• Administer Microsoft 365 (Intune, Defender, OneDrive, Teams Voice & Compliance) with focus on endpoint security and policy enforcement
• Automate deployments and remediations with PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Maintain and enforce change management via Jira/ServiceNow; develop detailed documentation and runbooks
• Act as escalation point for system incidents; perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
• Monitor system health with CloudWatch, Sentinel, ELK; identify trends and optimize performance
• Maintain compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and internal audit controls

• 7+ years in systems engineering with ownership of mission-critical infrastructure
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM), Microsoft 365 ecosystem, and Windows Server administration
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell required; Python/Bash a plus)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and virtualization
• Proven ability to create documentation and manage change in enterprise environments
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup

Preferred (Bonus Points For):

• AWS certifications: SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect Associate
• Exposure to Azure or hybrid-cloud environments
• Familiarity with monitoring stacks (ELK, Prometheus, Zabbix)
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Participation in ISO/SOC 2 audits
