Plant Superintendent

Job Description:

The Plant Superintendent directs the end-to-end execution of the plant operations in the assigned plant. The primary duties involve overseeing the performance and management, and continuous improvement of plant operations by meeting the production targets, service commitments, cost-to-serve objectives, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assumes full responsibility in the assigned plant by stepping in for refilling, decanting, inventory, bulk, and logistics operations. Executes daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules by meeting target production volume and demand of the customers and dealers. Streamlines overall plant production efficiency, machine utilization, and manpower productivity.
• Focuses on lowering cost-to-serve by improving efficiency, reducing downtime, preventing losses, and utilizing optimal resources. Addresses bottlenecks and introduces initiatives to downsize idle time, rework, and process inefficiencies.
• Supervises plant personnel, ensuring that employees deliver efficient and high-quality work outputs and performance by providing performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions when needed. Ensures that teams in the plant operation are aligned and maximized for manpower productivity and machine utilization
• Monitors plant billing and operating expenses by ensuring that plant expenditures are within the approved budget.
• Acts as the plant’s Operational Excellence and HSE Champion by spearheading safety walkthroughs, fire drills, HSE meetings, and audits, and ensuring compliance with the Permit-To-Work (PTW) system. Ensures that refilling operations (filling accuracy, leak-free output, proper sealing) follow the approved quality standards and required licenses, permits, and regulatory requirements are regularly updated.
• Acts as the On-Scene Commander (OSC) during emergency situations and the Pollution Control Officer (PCO), ensuring waste, emissions, and environmental reporting (SMR, CMR) meet standards.
• Maintains strict compliance with BIR requirements, specifically by submitting Withdrawal Certificates (WCs) and Official Registry Books (ORB).
• Prepares accurate and timely operational, production, inventory, and compliance reports on SAP and other required systems.
• Collaborates with different business units (Operational Excellence, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Finance) to ensure business initiatives are met. Closely works with the Purchasing department to prevent depletion and overstocking of operating materials and supplies.

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate of any Engineering program
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Solid foundation in plant operations, cost management, and continuous improvement
• Highly proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace Applications
• Background in CAPEX planning, regulatory compliance, and ERP systems
• With at least 8 years experience in LPG operations or related fields
