Position Summary:

The HR Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the HR Manager in overseeing the HR department's daily operations. This role includes managing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, payroll, and performance management functions. The HR Assistant Manager is a key player in fostering a positive work environment, supporting employee engagement, and contributing to the company's overall strategic HR goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Assist in planning and executing recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Conduct interviews, coordinate hiring activities, and manage onboarding processes for new employees.
  • Work with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and job requirements.
Employee Relations
  • Provide support for employee relations issues, addressing concerns and providing guidance to ensure a fair and respectful workplace.
  • Assist with conflict resolution and promote a positive work environment.
  • Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
Compliance & Policy Management
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies, updating them as necessary.
  • Assist in creating and implementing HR policies and procedures to meet company and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with local labor laws and data privacy regulations.
Performance Management
  • Support performance management processes, including performance appraisals, feedback sessions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Assist with employee development programs and succession planning initiatives.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees.
  • Manage benefits administration and coordinate with providers to resolve any employee issues or inquiries.
  • Work closely with the finance department to ensure compliance with budget allocations and reporting requirements.
HR Data & Reporting
  • Maintain HR records and generate regular HR reports for management review.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and drive continuous improvement in HR processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, labor laws, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
