Electrical facilities/building engineer

About the role

Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Facilities/Building Engineer to join our growing team in Taguig City Metro Manila. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the electrical systems within our commercial and residential buildings, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

• Conducting regular inspections and monitoring of electrical equipment and systems to identify and address any issues or malfunctions
• Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations, such as wiring, lighting, power distribution, and backup power systems
• Troubleshooting and resolving electrical problems, including liaising with external contractors and service providers as needed
• Implementing energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices to optimise the electrical performance of our buildings
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all electrical work and system performance
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical safety regulations and building codes
• Providing technical guidance and support to other facilities and operations staff as required

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Years of experience as an Electrical Facilities/Building Engineer, preferably in the commercial or residential property management sector
• Proficient in the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and backup power
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and liaise with external stakeholders
• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and sustainable building practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
