About the role

NYGC Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team. This is a full-time position based in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the financial health of our organisation by managing supplier payments, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate and timely accounts payable operations.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is essential to our financial operations, supporting both internal stakeholders and external vendors whilst maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

What you'll be doing
  1. Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with purchase orders and delivery documentation
  2. Record and categorise accounts payable transactions in the accounting system with precision and attention to detail
  3. Prepare and process payment runs, including cheques, electronic transfers, and other payment methods in a timely manner
  4. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies or payment issues promptly
  5. Maintain accurate vendor master data and update supplier information as required
  6. Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status, invoices, and account balances professionally and efficiently
  7. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including accrual preparation and reconciliations
  8. Assist with audit preparations by providing supporting documentation and explanations for accounts payable entries
  9. Monitor and report on accounts payable metrics, aging reports, and cash flow impacts
  10. Collaborate with procurement and operational departments to resolve invoice and payment-related issues
What we're looking for
  1. Proven experience in an accounts payable function, ideally with 2+ years in a similar role
  2. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, three-way matching, and payment procedures
  3. Proficiency with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create reports and analyse data
  5. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies accurately
  6. Strong organisational and time management skills, particularly when managing multiple deadlines and priorities
  7. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, internal stakeholders, and team members
  8. Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial controls
  9. Certification as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), or similar professional qualification is preferred
  10. Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous
