About the Role
AES-KY (Trendpower Technology Private Limited Taiwan Branch) is seeking a FW Engineer / Sr. Engineer to join our team in Taiwan. You will be responsible for developing advanced embedded firmware for digital power supply and lithium battery module systems, driving product performance, reliability, and safety to the next level.
Job Summary
This role focuses on embedded firmware development for digital power systems, including multi-core MCU and DSP design, system debugging, customer issue resolution, and performance optimization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high product quality and contribute to continuous engineering and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for digital power systems with a focus on reliability and performance
- Design firmware for multi-core MCU and DSP architectures, including real-time control and scheduling
- Perform system debugging and resolve customer-reported technical issues
- Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and test teams across the product lifecycle
- Develop switched-mode power supply firmware, including control loop and feedback compensation
- Improve firmware performance, stability, and development processes
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support knowledge sharing
- Prepare technical documentation for product release
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of firmware development experience
- Strong proficiency in embedded C (non-OS environment)
- Solid understanding of control theory
- Experience in digital power supply firmware or power electronics is highly preferred
- Familiar with MCU/DSP architecture and real-time embedded systems
- Knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI, PMBus, UART)
- Experience with Git/SVN and unit testing practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good teamwork ability
- Experience in mixed-signal circuit debugging
- Python or scripting language skills
- Experience in switched-mode power supply control loop design
