We are seeking a results-oriented Project Manager to lead complex data initiatives and cloud migrations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical data engineering teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that our data infrastructure on AWS or Azure aligns with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-End Delivery: Oversee the full lifecycle of data projects, including data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and analytics platform deployments.
- Cloud Coordination: Manage migrations and infrastructure projects specifically within AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue) or Azure (Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks) environments.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, translating technical data requirements into actionable project milestones.
- Resource & Risk Management: Identify potential bottlenecks in data architecture or cloud security early, implementing mitigation strategies to keep timelines on track.
- Agile Leadership: Lead Scrum ceremonies or Kanban workflows, tailoring methodologies to suit data-heavy development cycles.
- Experience: 5+ years of Project Management experience, with at least 2 years specifically focused on Data Engineering or Cloud Infrastructure projects.
- Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of cloud ecosystems. You don't need to code, but you must be able to discuss RDS vs. Snowflake or EC2 vs. Azure VMs fluently with engineers.
- Data Proficiency: Experience managing projects involving SQL databases, data lakes, or Big Data technologies.
- Certifications: PMP or Prince2 preferred; AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals is a significant plus.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to explain technical "data debt" or cloud costs to non-technical leadership.
- Experience with data visualization tool deployments (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy laws (GDPR/CCPA), and cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
