Payroll Officer – Construction Industry - Manila

About the role

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our growing team in the construction industry. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation across various project sites, and maintaining payroll records.

• Collect and verify daily, weekly, or monthly timesheets from employees across different construction sites.
• Calculate salaries and deductions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Process payroll using payroll software, ensuring timely disbursement of salaries.
• Prepare and distribute payslips and payroll reports to employees and subcontractors.
• Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies from employees.
• Maintain detailed payroll records and generate accurate reports as required.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Provide guidance and support to employees on payroll-related matters
• Assist in year-end processes, including audits.
• Stay informed of changes in payroll legislation and best practices, and implement necessary updates

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing; experience in the construction industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong understanding of Philippine labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices
