A stockman (or stock clerk) manages inventory within a warehouse or retail store, responsible for receiving, unpacking, organizing, and storing products. Key duties include monitoring stock levels, restocking shelves, performing inventory counts, and ensuring items are properly labeled.They must maintain a clean, organized storage area and often handle heavy lifting.
Qualifications/Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, walk, and stand for extended periods. Attention to detail for tracking inventory and maintaining order. Skills for counting, recording, and reading inventory documentation. Prior experience in warehouse or retail environments is often preferred, but not always required.Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
