Job Description
- Manage and supervise a kitchen, ensuring that all items on the menu are prepared and cooked to the highest standards
- Prepare and cook menu items, including meats, vegetables, and sauces
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and/or Executive Sous Chef and other kitchen staff to develop new menu items and specials
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to improve their skills and knowledge
- Control and manage inventory, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent position in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and health and safety regulations
- Excellent cooking and presentation skills, with attention to detail and creativity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop junior kitchen staff
