Jr. Financial Analyst (Audit Cost, Margin & Profitability Analysis) WFH

The Jr. Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting financial decision-making through accurate cost modeling, margin analysis, and financial reporting. This role owns SKU-level cost and contribution margin models, supports pricing and promotional analysis, and provides visibility into inventory, cash flow, and operational performance.
The Financial Analyst partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and Finance to ensure financial models and reports are accurate, timely, and aligned across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
MAIN FOCUS (80%)
Audit Cost, Margin & Profitability Analysis- Own and maintain SKU-level cost models including materials, labor, packaging, freight, and overhead
- Update cost assumptions when supplier, freight, labor, or production changes occur
- Maintain contribution margin analysis by SKU and sales channel
- Analyze margin impact of supplier changes, freight fluctuations, and production updates
- Prepare pricing and margin impact analyses for promotions, discounts, and pricing changes
- Identify and flag unusual cost or margin variances and summarize key drivers
NICE TO HAVE (20%)
Financial Reporting & Variance Analysis- Maintain monthly P&L and margin reports using standardized templates
- Perform actual vs. budget/forecast and actual vs. prior month variance analyses
- Identify financial trends and provide clear explanations of key drivers
- Maintain standardized Excel dashboards, pivot tables, and financial models
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and proper version control across reports
- Maintain weekly cash flow forecast inputs and cash balance trackers
- Track inventory value and inventory turns using predefined formulas
- Model cash impact of inventory purchases, production timing, and supplier payment terms
- Maintain B2B accounts receivable aging reports to support cash visibility
- Partner with Supply Chain to collect and validate cost inputs
- Partner with Operations on labor rates, overhead, and production assumptions
- Collect sales volume and channel inputs from Sales
- Ensure alignment and consistency across Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales models
Qualifications
Required- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or operational finance
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, structured models)
- Experience working with cost models, margin analysis, or inventory data
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple data inputs
- Experience in manufacturing, e-commerce, or supply chain–driven businesses
- Exposure to inventory accounting, landed cost modeling, or contribution margin analysis
- Experience supporting pricing or promotional analysis
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems
