A Transit Mixer Driver is responsible for safely transporting, operating, and maintaining a transit mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Drive and operate the transit mixer truck safely, following all traffic rules and safety regulations while transporting concrete to various project sites.
Load and discharge ready-mix concrete accurately at construction sites, ensuring minimal slump loss and proper placement as instructed by site engineers or clients.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues, fluid levels, and overall truck condition.
Maintain cleanliness of the truck, including the interior, exterior, and mixer drum, preventing hardened concrete buildup.
Assist in basic preventive maintenance, such as minor repairs, lubrication, and reporting mechanical problems to the maintenance department.
Complete delivery documentation, including tickets, inspection reports, and incident reports, ensuring accurate records for each trip.
Follow company safety protocols and established procedures to minimize accidents and equipment damage.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education: At least a high school graduate having NCII in Driving is an advantage.Licenses: Valid professional driver’s license with appropriate restrictions for heavy vehicles.
With experience in driving mixer.
Skills: Knowledge of construction site operations, concrete compositions, and vehicle maintenance; strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, perform physical tasks, and work long hours including weekends if required.
Willing to be assigned in different project sites.
Physically fit.
