The Manager, PH Country Security Operations Center (CSOC) is a member of UnitedHealth Group’s (UHG) Corporate Security organization. Corporate Security is responsible for the Workplace Security Program and Security Operations Centers that safeguard the company’s people, facilities, information, and assets through risk‑based physical security and security operations management.

This role is responsible for leading and managing the Philippines Country Security Operations Center (CSOC) and associated workplace security programs in alignment with UHG Corporate Security policies, standards, and procedures. The Manager will ensure effective 24x7 security monitoring, incident management, and response coordination, while also overseeing global‑level workplace security operations across UHG and Optum facilities in the Philippines.

Key accountabilities include management and oversight of CSOC analysts and operational staff, security incident response and reporting, contract security services, performance metrics (KPIs), access control and physical security technologies, ISO27001 and internal audit support, security awareness programs, and country security liaison initiatives.

This role serves as a subject‑matter expert (SME) for security operations and workplace security, supporting business partners and senior leadership by identifying security risks, recommending mitigation strategies, and addressing physical security and operational gaps.

This role will be based in the Philippines (Makati), will primarily support Optum and other UHG business entities Globally. Occasional travel (up to 25%) may be required.

Qualified candidates must have demonstrated experience leading enterprise security operations or SOC environments, managing workplace security programs, and partnering with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to deliver effective, compliant, and scalable security solutions.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Partner with Philippines business leadership to understand local business operations and objectives, socialize country and enterprise Workplace Security and CSOC programs, and ensure leaders are informed of Corporate Security capabilities and guidance.
  • Lead the Philippines CSOC to provide effective monitoring, incident response, escalation, and reporting for security incidents impacting personnel, facilities, and operations.
  • Provide leadership with security incident metrics, trend analysis, and actionable intelligence to support risk‑based decision‑making.
  • Facilitate delivery of security solutions through alignment with business leadership and engagement with Corporate Security program leads and subject matter experts.
  • Champion CSOC operations, security awareness, and proactive training initiatives to all CSOC Team members.
  • Partner with Corporate Security program leads to ensure country‑level implementation of enterprise policies, standards, and technical specifications.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent workplace security program and security culture across assigned Philippine business units and facilities.
  • Develop and manage annual security operating and capital budgets for the Philippines, ensuring alignment with approved forecasts
  • Manage relationships with third‑party security vendors, including contract guard forces, monitoring providers, and integrators; oversee performance, SLAs, and KPIs
  • Provide quality assurance through regular reporting, stakeholder engagement, identification of trends, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Real Estate Services, Facilities, Health & Safety, Human Capital / Employee Relations, Compliance, Legal, Communications Team, Marketing Team, External Affairs Team and country leadership.
  • Effectively communicate incident updates, project status, and key deliverables to Corporate Security and business leadership.
  • Drive change, operational maturity, and positive improvements across CSOC and workplace security programs.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive security experience in the private and/or public sector, including security operations, workplace security, incident management, intelligence, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading security operations centers (SOC / CSOC) and/or enterprise workplace security programs.
  • Experience managing security incidents, investigations, and workplace violence prevention and response.
  • Experience leading professional security teams and/or contract security guard force operations within a large corporate or multinational environment.
  • Experience supporting executive protection, travel security, or crisis management programs.
  • Strong understanding of physical security technologies (CCTV, access control, alarms) and security operations workflows.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, mediate conflict, and work effectively with senior leaders
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a global or shared‑services environment
  • Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST, or similar security and risk management frameworks
  • Prior experience working with regional or global security organizations
  • Relevant certifications (CPP, PSP, CISSP, CISM, CSP, CSMS or equivalent)
