Job Summary:

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for assisting in the efficient and accurate handling, storage, and movement of materials and equipment within the warehouse. This role ensures that all inventory is properly recorded, stored, and distributed to support construction operations and project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming deliveries of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Tag and store items in designated warehouse locations while maintaining cleanliness and order.
  • Prepare and issue materials as requested by project sites, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Maintain inventory records and update stock cards or warehouse logs regularly.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in periodic physical inventory audits.
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
  • Coordinate with the Inventory Clerk or Procurement team for stock replenishment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, hand truck) safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Report any damaged or missing items immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate filing of warehouse documents such as delivery receipts, requisition forms, and inventory logs.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports related to warehouse activity.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; vocational course in warehousing/logistics is an advantage.
  • At least 1 year of experience in warehouse or inventory-related work (preferably in construction or industrial settings).
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and documentation.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and equipment handling.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
  • Willing to work extended hours, including weekends, if necessary.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic computer literacy; knowledge of Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
