Cashier

Job Summary:

The Cashier ensures efficient and accurate processing of customer orders and payments, providing excellent service while maintaining cleanliness and organization at the counter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Transactions: Handle cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and vouchers efficiently and accurately.
• Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders, and answer inquiries regarding menu items, prices, and promotions.
• Order Coordination: Communicate with the kitchen or bar staff to ensure smooth order processing.
• Cash Handling: Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring no discrepancies.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the counter, register area, and workstations clean and organized.
• Upselling & Promotions: Inform customers about special deals, promotions, or loyalty programs to enhance sales.
• Compliance: Follow food safety, hygiene, and company policies regarding handling money and transactions.
• Resolve Issues: Address customer concerns related to billing, refunds, or incorrect orders professionally.

Qualification:

Educational Background:

• At least high school graduate or equivalent
• College level or graduate is an advantage (optional depending on the company)

Experience:

• Experience as a cashier or in customer service is a plus but not always required (some companies train freshers)

Skills:

• Basic math skills (handling money, giving change)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Time management and multitasking ability
• Familiarity with POS (Point-of-Sale) systems is an advantage
