Truck Driver

• Secures from the Physical Distribution Supervisor the Sales Invoices (SIs) of the customers for delivery.
• Drives the truck in the safest, direct and expedient manner in order to minimize idle, non-productive time on the road.
• Delivers goods, materials, samples, etc. to customers, 3rd-party trucking services or port/harbor for inter-island ferry services in a safe, efficient, expeditious and timely manner; Ensures that all terms and conditions of sale (e.g. COD, PDC, etc.) as well as all delivery instructions noted on the SI are followed strictly.
• Transmits immediately to the Physical Distribution Supervisor upon return from his/her delivery route all documents/reports
• Performs daily maintenance checks of the truck/van, e.g. battery, gas/oil, water, tire pressure, brake fluid, etc., before leaving the plant for his delivery route.
• Guides, instructs and oversees the activities of the Delivery Helper during the entire delivery process; Assesses his performance and provides appropriate feedback to the Physical Distribution Supervisor manpower agency evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum high school graduate
• Possesses professional driving license; certified to drive delivery trucks/ vans
• Good working knowledge about land geography in areas of operation / delivery, particularly Metro Manila, North & South Luzon
• Physically fit; Good health and good eyesight; Can lift heavy loads
• Possesses a sense of maturity regarding road safety
• Work experience in performing multi-drop deliveries of similar products highly desirable
