Sr. Finance Analyst - Sales Finance

JOB OBJECTIVE

This role acts as the financial business partner to Sales and Commercial teams particularly the Customer Business Development (CBD) Department. In this high-exposure role, the Sr. Analyst will collaborate with operational and strategic decision-makers both within and outside the Finance function.

As the company future-proofs its systems and processes through digital transformation, the role may evolve to encompass Finance systems development initiatives. The Sr. Analyst may be assigned to lead financial systems and process improvement projects across financial reporting, data integration, and automation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the regular monthly preparation and analysis of management reports for financial and operational reviews for the assigned distribution channel/(s) and present the report during the Integrated Financial Report (IFR) meeting and Sales & Operations Meeting.
• Prepare the detailed monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date Channel Profitability Report, Sales Returns Data Analysis Report and the Trade Promo budget balances and spends.

• Ensure business partner compliance with the company’s Promo Policy through conduct of review and post-audit of customer claims and charges with reference to express Credit Memo Request (e-CMR) and General Ledger reconciliation and audit.
• Provide financial insights to Sales and Commercial leadership for business modelling related to customer discounting, promotions and incentive schemes.
• Attend and participate in customer planning sessions and strategic accounts reviews.
• Maintain pricing and discount condition records in the company’s ERP System.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with accounting policies.
• Extend assistance to Sales team on the validation of customer pricing between the company’s record and the customer purchase price. Perform invoice reconciliation, if needed.
• Participate in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process by providing the Gross Sales Value Cash up.
• Deliver other adhoc report required by senior management team from time to time.
• Automate and streamline recurring reports for process and productivity improvement.

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE/ SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• College graduate, preferably with Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Management, or related disciplines.

• At least 5 years of prior work with a food and beverage or FMCG company (whether local or multinational), in related disciplines such as Supply Chain Finance, Commercial Finance, Controllership, and Taxation is valued, but not required.

• Preferably has passed the licensure for Certified Public Accountants (CPA) or has acquired certification Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and willingness to learn new systems related to finance and business analytics.
• Previous experience with SAP system is highly-valued and preferred.
• A self-starter with a track record in project management and successful project delivery.
