At Kyndryl, we're looking for a Threat Hunting Engineer to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. In this role, you'll help us stay ahead of adversaries by identifying advanced threats, uncovering hidden malicious activities, and helping fortify our customers' digital environments.
As a Threat Hunting Engineer, you'll:
- Proactively identify and investigate abnormal behaviors and hidden threats across networks and endpoints.
- Develop and implement detection strategies using behavioral analysis, anomaly detection, and threat intelligence correlation.
- Partner closely with SOC analysts and incident response teams to support threat detection, containment, and response activities.
- Identify gaps in detection coverage and recommend improvements to threat visibility and security posture.
- Conduct deep dives into threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) using internal telemetry and external threat intel.
- Support forensic investigations through endpoint and network analysis.
- Participate in red/blue team exercises and contribute to detection content development.

- Hands-on experience in threat hunting and proactive threat detection.
- Strong understanding of behavioral and anomaly-based detection techniques.
- Proficiency in using SIEM and security analytics platforms (vendor-agnostic).
- Experience in correlating threat intelligence with internal logs and telemetry.
- Familiarity with endpoint and network forensics, malware analysis, and incident response workflows.
- Working knowledge of threat frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
- Background in red teaming, purple teaming, or offensive security research.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automation and enrichment.
- Experience integrating and operationalizing threat intel feeds.
- Exposure to cloud security telemetry and detection (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Certifications such as GCFA, GNFA, GCTI, OSCP, CISSP, or equivalent.
