Highway Engineer (Civil Engineer)

Job description:

VS Adriano and Associates is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Highway Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, analysis, and cost estimation of transportation and infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, bridges, drainage systems, and related civil works.

Position Details

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Prepare detailed engineering designs for roads, highways, bridges, drainage systems, and related infrastructure projects.
• Develop roadway alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and geometric design plans.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, technical reports, and project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with DPWH standards, Blue Book specifications, AASHTO guidelines, and other applicable regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, field investigations, and technical evaluations.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and engineer's estimates.
• Assist in project budgeting, bid preparation, tender submissions, and technical proposals.
• Provide technical support during project planning, procurement, and construction implementation.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC).
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in highway engineering, road design, transportation infrastructure, or detailed engineering design.
• Strong knowledge of roadway geometric design, pavement design, drainage systems, and transportation engineering principles.
• Familiarity with DPWH standards, Blue Book specifications, and government infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and project budgeting is preferred.
• Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.
