Quezon City - Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer with a strong understanding of electrical systems and charging infrastructure, particularly in the context of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate quotes based on the electrical requirements, system specifications, and other technical aspects of EV charging projects in Canada.

You will work closely with project managers, and electricians to ensure that all projects meet the required standards, timelines, and client specifications. Your ability to provide accurate assessments and clear cost structures will play a key role in project execution.

• Cost Estimation & Quoting: Develop precise quotations for EV charging station projects based on electrical specifications, site conditions, material costs, and labor requirements.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, and electricians to clarify technical details, adjust designs for cost optimization, and ensure proper implementation of the system.
• System Sizing & Load Analysis: Perform electrical load analysis and sizing of the electrical systems (transformers, panels, conduit, wiring) based on the number and types of EV chargers to be installed.
• Regulatory Compliance & Permitting: Ensure that all projects meet local codes and regulatory requirements, including those set by local utilities, municipal zoning, and building permits. Assist with the preparation of documentation for regulatory approval.
• Client Communication: Interface with clients to discuss technical requirements, project timelines, and cost breakdowns, ensuring all quotes are tailored to meet the client’s needs.
• Project Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including cost estimates, schedules, progress reports, and technical specifications. Ensure all data is up to date and available for stakeholders.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of EV charging technologies. Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and relevant safety standards. Experience with electrical design software. Strong analytical skills for performing load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and electrical system sizing.
• Experience: Prior experience (internship or professional) in electrical design, particularly in the installation of EV charging infrastructure or similar energy systems. Experience in project quoting, estimating, or budgeting for electrical projects.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and internal teams. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in cost estimation and design specifications. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
• Other Requirements: Understanding of electrical safety and hazard mitigation procedures. Familiarity with utility integration, grid connection, and demand response systems related to EV chargers is a plus.
