Maintenance technician (electrical)

Job Description

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all electrical systems and equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues, including power supply failures and machinery malfunctions
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Install and replace electrical components and fixtures such as switches, circuit breakers, wiring, and lighting
• Test and inspect electrical systems and circuit continuity to ensure functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance, inspections, and repair work performed
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment
• Train staff on the correct operation and basic maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
• Order and manage inventory of electrical supplies, tools, and replacement parts

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance (industrial or commercial)
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety codes
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or vocational training
• Certification as an Electrical Technician is a plus
• Physically fit and capable of handling heavy equipment
