SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Requirements:

• Formal Schooling: Certified Public Accountant
• Experience Required: At least 4 to 5 years of related job in a managerial capacity
• Work Set-up: For Toledo City, Cebu assignment and willing to travel

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing/coordinating with the two sections of the Accounting Department namely: Financial Reporting Section & Revenue Cycle Section.
2. Managing Tax Specialist, both Plant & CHQ
3. Managing the department in maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures including the updating of the chart of accounts as the need arises, implementing a system of control over accounting transactions and maintaining an orderly filing system
4. Overseeing the day-to-day efficient operation of the accounting system, orienting and assisting staff of the different departments having access to recording of accounting transactions and coordinating with the Systems Group for the technical needs in terms of regular maintenance and immediate response to request for repair to avoid delay in the encoding of transactions and generation of reports as needed.
5. To review documents for disbursements ensuring accounts payable are properly and fully supported by documents with accurate and correct information when these are processed for payments according to credit terms with reasonable discounts taken as available /reviews account balances of the trial balance
6. To ensure that accounts receivable data are forwarded promptly to departments in charge of collection in compliance with collection policies and procedures and ensures proper recording through the monthly bank reconciliations.
7. To review and issue timely and complete financial statements every 5th of the month complete with supporting schedules and information for easy reference by users.
8. To coordinate and supervise the preparation for the annual audit and provide complete records or information needed by the external auditors.
