DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Shall greet customers entering the canteen
Shall manage transactions with customers using a cash register
Shall collect payments in cash
Shall purchase food supplies as the need arises (marketing for canteen)
Shall have a record of suppliers and contact them if needed
Shall maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
Shall cross-sell products and introduce new ones
Shall keep records of transactions thru a log book (records include sales & daily meal staff)
Shall be responsible for the proper care of equipment

Shall be able to handle multi-task responsibilities, as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements

Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
With at least one (1) year of experience in a hospital setting
Previous experience in the dietary service is a plus
Certificate or training relevant to the job is a plus
Must have basic computer knowledge
Must have familiarity with cash register
Must have good math skills
Must have good communication and time management skills

Must be customer-satisfaction-oriented
