We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for managing tax compliance, preparing financial statements, and ensuring adherence to Australian tax regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Australian taxation, experience handling complex tax matters, and the ability to provide strategic tax advice to clients.

• Prepare and review tax returns, BAS, IAS, and financial statements in compliance with Australian tax laws.
• Ensure accurate and timely lodgment of tax obligations, including GST, PAYG, FBT, and corporate tax.
• Conduct tax planning and advisory services for businesses and individuals.
• Review and analyze financial reports to ensure compliance with ATO regulations.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
• Manage communication with the ATO and other regulatory bodies regarding tax matters.
• Keep up to date with changes in Australian tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in internal audits and financial reviews as required.
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance on tax and compliance matters.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who:

• With a bachelor's or master’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics or other business disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Private Client Business Services or Tax Advisory, gained from big 4 accounting firms or professional services firms.
• Possess strong analytical skills, financial problem-solving skills, business analysis and communication skills.
• A demonstrated genuine interest in Private Client Business Services and Tax Advisory.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with all levels of staff.
• Strong in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Team player who can excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environment.
