Chief Finance Officer are the helm of financial management, overseeing all aspects of a cooperative’s financial function. CFO is also responsible for managing the finance and accounting divisions and for ensuring that the cooperative’s financial reports are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Managing budgets, monitoring cash flow, optimizing capital structure, and ensuring effective utilization of financial resources to enhance profitability and drive growth
2. Provides executive leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives and offers recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities
3. Directs and oversees all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions of the cooperative
4. Ensures credibility of Finance and Accounting group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts
5. Oversees he cooperative’s risk management including general liability and related insurance coverage and risk mitigation
6. Takes hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive grant management system
7. Evaluates and advises on the fiscal impact of long range planning, introduction of new program/s strategies and regulatory action
8. Establishes and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek full range of potential revenue generating business solutions
9. Provides executive management advice on the financial implications and other business activities
10. Analyzes cash flow, cash controls, expenses and all financial statements to pinpoint potential areas for improvement
11. Works closely with investment advisors to provide executive management and the Board of Trustees with advice on management of the investment portfolio and takes all Board approved actions regarding the portfolio
12. Reportorial Functions:

• Submits checked Financial Statements to the CEO/COO on monthly basis
• Monthly Internal Auditor’s Report with management reply to be submitted to the CEO deadline before the Board of Director’s Meeting.

1. Willing to travel to visit all the branches
2. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be a CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT (CPA) – highly desirable
• At least 3 years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in a major nonprofit or for profit institution
• Experience on strategic and operational planning and execution
• Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management
• Knowledge on Cooperative Financial Regulations

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well orally and in writing and manage well at all levels of the cooperative
• Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within light timeframes and simultaneously manage multiple project
