Associate Account Director - PR
Reporting directly to the Business Unit Head, the Associate/Account Director leads multiple servicing teams supervised by Senior Account Managers and composed of Account Executives, Senior Account Executives, and Account Managers and undertakes account servicing responsibilities for assigned clients.
The Associate/Account Director’s primary responsibility, next to client management and team management, is business development.
Business Development
Takes an active role in growing organic accounts by monitoring trends or movements of client’s immediate stakeholders and spotting opportunities for business expansion
Develops and designs new communication or consultancy services that may be provided by the business unit, for pitching to potential or existing clients; Responsible in training team to be capable of delivering new product or service
Works closely with Business Development Unit and provides useful and relevant insights, strategies, and tactics in the proposal development
Support the Business Development team in identifying markets for the Business Unit’s growth
Account Management
Takes an active role in managing the client’s expectation and in strengthening client confidence in the Business Unit and the company.
Develop or enhance client servicing teams’ protocols and processes, as appropriate, to ensure quality and efficient delivery of all work streams related to the assigned accounts
Attends meetings with clients to learn client briefings, report on work progress and post engagement updates, clarify expectations, counsel client relating to the project or an issue, present directions, seek client’s approval for plans, or manage internal issues involving the client and the servicing team
Attends to client’s needs, requests, and inquiries
Manages and accounts for the client’s budget and team’s manhours, as indicated in the approved Retainer Contract, Scope of Work, and Third Party Cost Estimates.
Team Management
Monitors project trackers and leads alignment meetings with the internal team
Manages team’s man hours and provides guidance in the delivery of direct reports’ accountabilities to maximize team performance
In close coordination with the Business Unit Head and the Human Resources Unit, the Associate/Account Director takes an active role in the designing and planning the team structure, in recruiting team members, and in monitoring their performance and career development
Ensures that direct reports comply with company policy on the timely submission of timesheets
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of work experience in communication field, with at least 4 years in a public relations agency setting
- At least 4 years of supervisory experience
