MOWER MECHANIC
The MOWER Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of all golf -course equipment and vehicles. This role ensures that machinery—particularly mowing equipment—is operating at peak performance to maintain the high standards of the golf course greens and grounds.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Readiness: Report for duty at 5:45am (15 minutes prior to the 6:00am shift) to prepare for daily operations.
Supervision & Instruction: Check the departmental white board daily for specific instructions from the Superintendent or Supervisor.Equipment Oversight: Ensure all equipment operators complete their pre-operation checklists before using any machinery.
Maintenance & Repair: Assist operators with equipment issues and prioritize repairs, with an emphasis on keeping greens-related equipment in top condition.
Field Inspections: Conduct regular rounds of the golf course to monitor equipment in action, specifically evaluating mowing quality, height, alignment, and engine performance.
Preventative Maintenance: Execute a strict preventative maintenance schedule, including monthly oil and filter changes for equipment and kilometer-based servicing for vehicles.
Technical Precision: Perform routine technical tasks such as checking bed knives and rollers, applying grease to all bearings and fittings, and ensuring all hardware is tightened evenly to maintain alignment.
Facility Management: Maintain a clean and organized Maintenance Building to ensure safety and operational efficiency
