Heavy equipment operator

Job Description

• Operate assigned heavy equipment safely and effectively for construction projects.
• Perform daily equipment checks to ensure the machinery is in proper working condition.
• Follow site safety protocols and report hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Load and unload equipment from transport vehicles when needed.
• Excavate, grade, or move earth and other materials as per project plans and instructions.
• Interpret markings, blueprints, and signals from spotters or site supervisors.
• Conduct minor maintenance, cleaning, and fueling of assigned machines.
• Maintain accurate equipment logs and report breakdowns immediately.
• Assist in manual labor tasks during idle time or as assigned by the supervisor.
• Comply with DPWH, DOLE, and company safety guidelines and environmental standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

• At least High School Graduate or equivalent; TESDA NC II (Heavy Equipment Operation) is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with applicable restriction codes (e.g., 8 for articulated vehicles).
• Minimum 1 years of experience operating heavy equipment (backhoe, grader, etc.).
• Knowledge of safety protocols in construction and excavation works.
• Physically fit and willing to work long hours or shifting schedules.
• Must be willing to stay on-site/barracks, if required.
