Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of vehicles, ensuring the highest quality of service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
• Conduct routine maintenance work (e.g., replacing fluids, lubricating parts) to ensure vehicle functionality.
• Repair or replace worn parts and systems, including brakes, suspension, exhaust, steering, and underchassis components.
• Perform accurate diagnostics using computerized tools and equipment.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge in underchassis systems, particularly for heavy-duty vehicles such as buses.
• Perform specialized maintenance and repairs on buses, including engine systems, air brakes, and HVAC units.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations specific to public transport vehicles.
• Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle issues, repairs, and timelines.
• Test drive and inspect buses post-repair to confirm safety and performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment.
• Keep accurate records of diagnostics, repairs, and parts inventory.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an auto mechanic or similar role.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
• Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
