I. JOB DESCRIPTION
➢ Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components.
This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical designs meet functional,manufacturing, and quality requirements. The position requires hands-on experience in mechanical design,
materials selection, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing support.
II. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and Development:
- Design mechanical systems, devices, and components using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software.
- Perform stress analysis and simulations to ensure the feasibility and safety of designs.
Testing and Evaluation:
- Conduct testing on mechanical components and systems to validate performance and reliability.
- Analyze test results and adjust designs as needed to improve function and durability.
Manufacturing Support:
- Work with manufacturing teams to ensure that designs can be effectively and efficiently produced.
- Create and review technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process and suggest improvements.
Project Management:
- Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and project managers to meet project timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards
Research and Development:
- Stay up to date with the latest engineering technologies, trends, and materials.
- Conduct research to develop innovative solutions to engineering problems.
Maintenance and Improvement:
- Review and analyze the performance of existing systems and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Ensure that systems meet industry standards and government regulations.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of designs, calculations, testing, and modifications.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, civil engineers, and software engineers,
- Communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
➢ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
➢ Licensed as a professional Engineer.
➢ Experience with mechanical design, project management, or a related field is often preferred.
➢ Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
➢ Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
➢ Strong ability to ensure designs and systems meet all specifications and regulations.
➢ Ensure quality control during the design, testing, and manufacturing phases.
➢ Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
➢ Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations.
➢ Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
➢ A strong sense of creativity to come up with new designs, concepts, or improvements.
➢ Adaptability to new challenges and continuous learning.
